This festival is concentrated on creating convergence among startup and fintech actors in Iran and links banks and financial institutions with startup businesses. All fintech startups and other elements of this ecosystem, such as regulatory and supervisory centers, accelerators, and VCs, will participate in this event. Startups participating in this festival are categorized in 8 groups: payment; collective financing; insurance; block chain & digital currencies; capital & exchange markets; electronic wallets; financial management & accounting; and Regtech. Introduction of, and contribution to, startup activities, facilitation and synchronization among the actors in the fintech ecosystem, and establishment of systematic interaction among regulatory institutions are amongst the main objectives of the Second Big Festival of Iran Fintech.  The festival will also concentrate on preparing the context for cooperation among fintechs, banks, and payment companies, as well as, holding workshops and training courses on fintech and networking among fintech actors. Some 56 startups participated in the First Big Festival of Iran Fintech, held in the sidelines of the 3rd Iran Transaction Exhibition (ITE 2017), in an exhibition area of more than 3000 square meters. The presence of these startups along with holding roundtable discussions and meetings on problems and needs of fintechs facilitated the direct contact between them and foreign and domestic investors. Board of jurors of the first festival introduced the 3 top startups as follows: Sad Thalil Startup; Sharjeman Startup; and Donit Startup. The selected startups received rewards sponsored by Shaparak Company. The Second Big Festival of Iran Fintech will be held upon the efforts and initiation of FABA Center and FABATECH.
