On the evening of Tuesday, June 24, a number of clerics, prayer leaders, intellectuals, and university professors from Cape Town met with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to South Africa.
During this meeting, the attendees expressed their appreciation, support, and solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran in confronting the Zionist regime, and emphasized the importance of continued support for the cause of Palestine. Questions raised by attendees regarding the defensive operations of the Islamic Republic, the blows dealt to the Zionist adversary, and the acceptance of the declared ceasefire were addressed, and discussions were held on related topics.
Additionally, the meeting highlighted the reasons behind the Zionist regime’s unlawful attacks and crimes against residential areas, hospitals, and aid workers, resulting in civilian casualties. It was stressed that this regime sought to distract public opinion from the genocide in Palestine by launching an aggression against Iranian territory, which was met with a forceful response from Iran’s armed forces. The session also referenced the role of the United States and other allies of the Zionist regime, stressing that the Islamic community and freedom seekers around the world must not remain silent in the face of these atrocities
